Peg Perego Aria vs Pliko

I have the Peg Perego Aria, and I don't love it. I use it when I want to bring a lightweight stroller with me, but what I don't like about it is that I can't control it unless I have both hands on it. It could be the way we set it up, but the wheels go every which way but straight unless you use both hands to steer it. It drives me crazy when I'm at the mall holding packages in one hand, but still have to have both hands on the stroller. But, we got this stroller because it was recommended to us, so I know others love it. Honestly, I've never been completely happy with any one stroller. We own 4 strollers (for 2 kids), and I've yet to find the perferct one! I don't know anything about the Pliko.

Hi. I have the Pliko and love it!! I also have a Bob, but I use the Pliko for the majority of the time. My son is 2 1/2 and I have no plans to use anything other than what I have. I have gotten so much use out of it, that it was well worth the price.

We bought the Peg Perego Aria, in spite of the mixed reviews which I also saw, and so far we love it! We went ahead and bought it because I just really liked it in the store, and liked it better than the many others we looked it. It's light weight but sturdy and very easy to use, which were the criteria we were looking for. I've only been using it for a couple of months and my daughter is only 9 months old, so we'll see how it is over time and as she gets bigger but I don't foresee any problems so far.

Love my Pliko....I have been using it for 3 years and it still looks and works like new!

I have an Aria and have the same issues mentioned - almost impossible to push with one hand even on a smooth surface like at the mall. I bought it because it was super light (only 11 lbs) but really wish that I had known how terrible it was before I wasted the money. I am now in the market for a new light weight to replace the Aria which I find useless.

We just got the Pliko -- we "test drove" both in-store and the Pliko seemed more appropriate for our needs, but this is our first baby (due next month) so I don't have any practical experience. The Aria felt a little more lightweight, if that's a major factor for you. Babies R Us had both out on display if you wanted to test drive them :) Good luck! Stroller/Car Seat was our toughest decision for baby stuff!

I have the Pilko and have had it for four years and through two kids and I still love it. It is so lightweight and folds up so nicley too. The tray is great with a cup holder and it's easily removable as well. It has been a great stroller and very sturdy as well, we end up traveling across country every two or three months and it has held up very well. I hope this helps, I think it is well worth the money.

I bought the Pliko P3 almost two years ago, as my youngest daughter will be two in April. I found the "last years" model on sale and swiped it up but after using it and loving it as I do, I would pay full price in a minute. My sister bought the 2007 model just recently in a darling pink color, we both love the Pliko. It is a "rugged" stroller yet not heavy like their competitors. It is certainly the lightest that I found with a tray and has held up very nicely. There is a step on the back for a slightly older child to stand although I didn't use that feature. My oldest daughter is a bit to big to use the step.
The Aria - my husband brought the Aria home one afternoon and after it was all set up I dind't like it at all. While it is super easy to push and maneuver it wasn't as sturdy as I would have liked. My husband and I discussed the Aria and Pliko for weeks and finally found the Pliko on sale. As I said, having used it, the Pliko is worth all the money.

BUT - I really suggest you look at the Baby Jogger City Series Mini w/ the tray attachment... it's the same price as the Aria (the attachment is extra... but not that much) - it pushes like a dream, it folds up super small, and it's so light weight. The hood coverage is awesome. It's $199 - and if you look at my ad, you'll see a 10% off coupon. We have the peg's too... but for your situation, I really think you should look at the baby jogger city series mini! I don't have the tray for mine - but you can find the tray listed on http://www.babyjogger.com/accessories.htm under "child tray" (we do carry these too! so you don't have to buy from there.. just so you can see -it snaps into the accessory mounting bracket on the stroller)

I have a Pliko3 and I LOVE it. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. We got it when I was pregnant with my son (who's now 2-1/2 yrs old) and it's still in great shape, and we use it all the time. I also really like it because I'm petite, and it's a nice, small, compact stroller. It's great to go shopping with because it can fit really easily in small aisles, etc. My kids (we have two now) both really like it as well. Not to mention that it's really easy to fold/unfold. I would definitely recommend it.

We have the Pliko, LOVE IT!!! I wouldn't have bought it myself because of the price but my in laws were willing to and am glad they were. I also have the Combi Cosmo, which I bought before they bought they bought the Pliko and LOVE THAT!!! I'm now in the market for a jogging stroller now that it's getting nice and need to lose the baby weight!

Try to get a floor model! This is the best stroller! We sold ours b/c I had another baby and wanted a double stoller (Phil & Ted-also great), but I miss the Pliko sooooo much. I fantasize (yes, really) about having it again and my son talks about it like a lost blankie. Two thumbs up.

We have a Pliko and have had it for a few years. I prefer that the seat is more cushioned than the Aria and there is a bit more substance to it, but it is a REAL pain to close. We are shopping for another single stroller for our new baby and I will not buy another Pliko even though I like Peg Perego brand (I've used a Peg Venezia for the past 4 years and LOVE it!). The Pliko folds funny- sort of onto itself- and it can stand once folded, but the wheels often get stuck and you have to readjust them for it fold together. There are latches to keep the sides down and they don't always work adn take alot of force. We were in Babies R Us recently looking at strollers and we were hoping the Pliko would have been improved since we purchased a few years ago, but it's the same so we won't be buying another. We did not choose the Aria because it doesn't not have a footboard on the back for our older toddler to stand on, but it seems like a nice stroller. I recommend going to Babies R Us and trying them both out- folding, unfolding, etc. to see what is comfortable for you.

I would highly recommend the pliko. We have it and love it. We went through several stroller options with our first son, found that one, and haven't needed another one since. The great thing about it is the foot pedal off the back. Then our younger son(2) could ride in front and our older son (4) can stand on the back. We are still using it.

I think it really depends on what you use your stroller for. Personally, i think the Aria is pretty flimsy..i think you would want something sturdier to push around the weight of a 2.5 year old. I would recommend something with air tires if your doing any outdoor walking.But if your mall crawling, the Peg P3 is also a great all around stroller imo, and worth the extra money. You can feel the difference in the push of a more expensive stroller. Can you tell i'm a stroller snob..ha ha ha.

I am new here, so sorry if you have already had the response you were looking for. I had the Aria for my son and wasn't all that thrilled with it. Loved the weight - and that's mostly why I chose it, but the canopy doesn't come down far enough to block out sun, and the reclining mechanism is terrible. Also, it doesn't recline all the way, which may be uncomfortable for napping. Hope that helps!!

Hi. I have the Peg Perego Pliko and LOVE it. It's been great for travel, is comfy, and I like the large canopy/shade (plus you can see DH thru the see-through window). It was a bit pricey, but it's held up really well (nearly 3 years) and is AWESOME when single-handing to fold/unfold (e.g., while holding DB).

It's also great in snow (if that's an issue for you). I rarely had to use our jogger unless we had heavy accumulations. It's pretty good on sand, too.
