My husband and I are about to have our first baby and haven't decided on a pediatrician. Any recommendations in the N. Fort Worth/Keller/Southlake area? I've gotten a recommendation for Erica Zwernemann in Southlake...any experience with her?
Love Dr. Roger Knapp on Southlake Blvd. He is a part of Cook Childrens Network and he saw my son in the hospital right after he was born. I went in 2 months early and had him a month early, so hadn't found a ped. Dr Knapp was so warm and friendly that we just stayed with him. If you like a sense of humor and great staff, you will like him.

My sons go to Dr. Kirk Davis in Keller. He is one of three pedis in the office - Dr. Layla Edwards and Dr. ?? Oh my goodness - I just can't remember her name, she is a DO who graduated from Mizzou. . .and when Dr. Davis was out she did see my kiddos. .
Anyways, I have been extremely pleased with Dr. Davis and the entire staff. Everyone from the front desk to each nurse are wonderful.

We use Dr. Eric Hopkins at Grapevine Cooks Children's. He is awesome! He is super laid back about shots and will let you bring your own schedule. He is not quick to give medicine and evaluates all options. We went through 3 pediatricians in 6 months with our daughter and after lots of bad advice and heart ache we are super happy with Hopkins. I would NOT recommend Dr. Dickey for an infant...she is in Grapevine also.
We go to Dr. Jason Terk (my son is now 16 months old) and we have been happy there. He is a Cook Children's Network doctor and is located in Keller.
We go to Dr. Zwernemann (Dr. Z) and she is awesome. There are other good pediatricians closer, but we continue to drive to Southlake because we trust her so much. She's a mom, so she 'gets it'. I can almost always get in to see her same day, and if I've had good luck with the other docs if I had to see them instead. Great practice all around, can't recommend her enough.
Dr Z is GREAT!! I used to work there at the office and she is very kind and loves her patients!
We use Dr. W. Pierre Robert in Grapevine. His office is attached to Baylor Hospital. Love him. His partner is Anthony Scott and I've heard good things about him also. I've never not been able to see Dr. Robert the day I need to for my children but one time. His NP's name is Mindy and she's really good too if you can't get in with a Dr that day. He's willing to work with you on vaccines if you don't want to get the set schedule. I try and only do one at a time and he's been really accomodating with that. He's very down to earth and takes the time to talk to you.
DO NOT USE Erica Zwernermann!!! My son went to her for three years...it was three years too long! I told her numerous times that I was concerned about my son (I thought he possibly had autism) he also walked on his toes. She dismissed my concerns and told me he was just "quirky". He is now seeing a neurologist and low and behold had Aspergers and has to have therapy for the toe walking and braces for his feet....BTW the neurologist said my pediatrician should have caught this SEVERAL years ago. I kick myself for not going with my "mommy gut" and leaving the practice years ago. PLEASE find a different doctors office. I switched to a different doctor within SFM and he gave my younger son the wrong RX for antibiotics...They are waay too busy in that office and odviously don't take the time needed with their patients! Try Grapevine Pediatric that's where we go now. Either of the doctors there are great! Good luck!
