My sister is pregnant with her first baby and due in December. She can't find a good pediatrician in the Las Colinas area that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield. Does anyone have a good suggestion or someone they really like?
I recommend Dr. Carissa Meyer and Gina Viktorin, they are located at the Las Colinas Medical Center, they're GREAT!!!!
Have never waited more than 10 minutes when I have appointments. Give then a call, I have BCBS insurance as well and have never had a problem. Very friendly atmosphere, I'm sure you will be happy. Their number ###-###-####

I take my son to see Dr. Susan Heller. She is great with kids and has a very calm personality. We've been very happy with her and her staff. She is a member of my church as well, so I know her personally. She has 3 children herself so she has lots of personal experience as well.
She is part of the Baylor Medical & Surgical Clinic of Irving. Her office is near Baylor Irving hospital (in the new offices attached to the hospital). The # is ###-###-####.
Sometimes there is a wait to see her but I don't mind because I know it's because she's taking the time to actually talk to her patients & parents. :)
I also have Blue Cross/Blue Shield so I'm sure she accepts that.
Where does she want to deliver? Sometimes that makes a difference. If she wants to deliver at Las Colinas Medical Center, then she can contact them for a list of OBs that have hospital rights there. If she wants to deliver at Baylor Irving, she can call Baylor's physician referral line and ask about OBs at Baylor Irving. They may even be able to tell her who accepts her insurance. I second Dr. Meyer - she is VERY thorough and my kids love her (they're now 17 and 15 and don't want to go to anyone else)!
