I recently took my son for his first visit to Dr. Michael Ingalls in Lake Mary (office is right off of Lake Mary Blvd) and loved the office...everyone was super nice and they did a great job with my not so cooperative son.
I took my son to Pediatric Dentistry of Central Florida in Maitland. He was very good. They have an initial waiting room thenbut when they are ready to see you, they put you in an individual waiting room to talk to the dentist and he takes the child with him from there. My son had "baby bottle" syndrome. All his teeth were bad at 4-years old. Instead of me having to bring him back and forth...Dr. Bishop put him under and did his dental work at the hospital so he would not be afraid of him. I thought that was great!
I just wanted to note that 1 is really young to see a dentist. Most pediatricians recommend seeing a pediatric dentist at 2 or even 3 years of age. If there isn't a specific problem requiring immediate intervention, you may want to wait a bit. At just a year old, he is still a baby and won't be able to cooperate with a dental exam and that can make the dentist's office a miserable place.
