I am looking for a good inexpensive part time preschool. I want something that will be educational to my 18 month old but is still inexpensive for us. I understand that most preschools start at 2 years and that is about when we are looking to start her. Anywhere in the Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Lancaster, Waxhaw or South Charlotte areas please.

What can I do next?

Hi K.. My son started preschool at 2 and 1/2 years old. He is attending Episcopal Day School. It is a wonderful preschool! I am in a MOMS Club and many of the Mother's send their children to this preschool! They are enrolling for next year now I believe and classes fill quickly. It is located in downtown Rock Hill. The number is ###-###-#### and the Director is a very sweet lady named Diane Baker if you are interested in calling and speaking with her. Hope this is helpful to you!

I just moved from Waxhaw and both my sons attended Mineral Springs UMC Preschool. I LOVED them so much! I miss them terribly and they do start at 18 months. In fact my youngest son started then. I will say they do not have a set curriculm but neither of my oldest son didn't have a problem starting school and in fact he is reading at grade level 3 now (he is in 1st grade). My youngest son is still in Preschool and unfortunately we are too far from the school now. If you want more info email me!

Fort Mill Prepatory School is $30/day for part time. They do 2 and 3 day part time schedules or the regular 5 day full time schedule. I believe they are accredited. I have heard nothing but compliments regarding the owner and the school.

K.,
I'm not sure about a part time pre-school for two years old but I can recommend a headstart program for 3 and up. The Catawba Indian Nation Headstart is awesome. The operate from 8am til 2pm and there is no fee for this service. I have three sons oldest 14. He has been in advance classes since starting 6th grade and they wanted him to skip the 3rd grade. His brother is on the same path and my youngest is currently attending there. They more than get your child ready for kindergarden. They work on computers, have music, etc. Wonderful program. Keep them in mind for when your daughter gets a little older. They even have a wrap around program for after school for working parents (for a small fee). Good luck finding something in the mean time.

we use KidsRKids in Fort Mill and LOVE it. I don't think their parttime is too expensive but not sure what you are thinking on that. We have a five year old and a 2 1/2 year old there since Dec 2006.

Hello K.!
I've heard that the Leroy Springs Recreation Complex in Fort Mill has a good part-time preschool. We were unable to enroll my daughter in that program b/c of the time we moved here and began to look into the programs, but I've heard it's very good. It fills up quickly as I understand, so you may want to begin looking into it now. Good luck and God bless!

In God's Love,
T.
