Pampered Chief Cookie Press

Does anyone have helpful hints on using the PC Cookie press? I have only been successful in using it a few times and I think that was just luck. The other times I have had a very hard time with them coming out and looking like cookies. I use the cookie recipe that comes with the press. So I don't think it is the recipe. Does the dough work better if it is cold, room temperature, or slightly chilled? Any helpful hints would be much appreciated!

What can I do next?

Chill the cookie dough for about 30 minutes and only squeeze it for about 3 seconds. Good luck!

I have one as well and have been very lucky since I have purchased the baking stone. I was having a hard time with the cookies breaking off from the pattern thing. I refridgerate my dough (the recipe that comes with the press) for about 15 minutes so it is firm and then use the baking stone from PC and they come out great. I was not wanting to purchase the stone but now that I have a couple of them - I pretty much use them daily. They have been a GREAT investment for sure!
