I am in need of professional painters. My condo needs the complete interior painted. I was wondering if anyone knew what a reasonable price would be to paint a 1300 square ft home, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room, dining room and kitchen. Also would apprciate some referrals for painters in the area, you have used and were happy with. Again, I want it to look like it was professionally done.
I can tell you who NOT to use. Jeffs Painting out of Darien/Clarendon Hills area. We had big big problems with him and would never reccomend him to anyone. He wont show up when he is supposed to or finish the job but will ask for money before anything is done. DO NOT USE him, just in case you see him advertised anywhere.

We used this guy, Tony, to paint our whole house. Friends liked his work so much, he worked 2 years off of referrals of people seeing our house, our friends houses, and their friends houses, and so on. He is an artist and is amazing with colors. I showed swatches of the furniture I purchased. He picked out a color that I was not excited about, but trusted him to paint just our living room. When he was done, it looked like a million bucks! We then gave him carte blanche for the rest of the house. He is south, but will drive. His number is ###-###-####.

My parents used Amazing Walls a few years ago to paint the interior of much of their 4BR home in Plainfield. They were very professional, and did a great job in about 4 days. It looked professional. She's an interior designer so she's very picky, but she was very pleased! She had several quotes from companies and this was the best price.

We've used Tommy Welsch. His number is ###-###-####. He owns his own company, but does all the work himself. He only uses Sherwin Williams Paints and without question has always been the cheapest quote we (and now 5 other people we know) ever got.
So, get several quotes from others and I would bet my house that he would charge you a lot less. I had asked him why he is so much lower and he said he's not out to screw anyone.
He is super nice, a husband, and father of 2 and responsible (he even let out dog out during the day). He will also stop by free of charge and give you an estimate.
Because he's reasonably priced, the sooner you call him, the better chance you can get him as your painter.
