That's different for every woman. Generally it's 14 days before your next cycle, but like I said it varies. A good resource is fertilityfriend.com It has a course you can go through and goes through all that stuff from temping to checking cervical mucous, etc. I know when I ovulate by my discharge, I never got into temping. When you have egg whitey discharge, that's about the time you're ovulating.

No one here can give you that answer . Most women ovulate near the middle of their cycle, but that does not mean you do. Heck, you may not even ovulate. Not ovulating is one of the most common fertility problems solved through medication. If you really want to find out you can begin charting your morning temperatures. You can learn to do this by picking up a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility or search for natural family planning charts on the internet. I decided this was too much work for me to keep up with. Since I already charted and knew that I did indeed ovulate, I now judge it strictly by cervical fluids. The clear stretchy stuff (known as "egg white"), is an indicator that you are ovulating.

Check out this site. http://www.babycenter.com/ovulation-calculator ..it's an ovulation predictor...BUT that doesn't mean it's always accurate. Need to look for the signs as the first poster said. Can also try ovulation kits...I know the Dollar Tree sells them! They are not high tech but they work. When I was trying to get pregnant I just made sure that the middle two weeks of my cycle (days 10 - 25 or so) we had sex at least every other day. I know it is not this simple for everyone, but if you just started, might be worth a shot!

Get a basal body thermometer ( or a regular thermometer will do) and take your temperature every day--preferably at the same time--before you get out of bed in the morning. Chart out the temperatures using a good ol' piece of paper or a website like fertilityfriend.com or fertililtyflower.com. Notice when you're having lots of slippery cervical mucus--when you have clear, stretchy, slippery mucus (you may notice when you wipe) you are in a more fertile period. When your basal body temperature rises and stays high for more than three days, you have ovulated. If you don't notice a pattern like this after charting for a few months, you might need to see an acupuncturist or naturopath who could help you regulate your cycles.

Some months it may be at 14 days, some months at 18. If you're not consistent in your cycle...it may be at 21 days....

Short answer, if you need to know when you're ovulating, get an OPK.

Ans as the other poster mentioned, Taking Charge Of Your Fertility will give you a really good idea of how to read your body for the signs.
