My understanding is that if there is odor there is an underlying problem, such as infection. I'd ask you doctor about it. Good luck.

M. O,

Definitely see your doctor, then once you know for sure if you do or don't have an infection you go from there. In the past I have used the vagisil powder. It works great! It helps to keep that area dry and odor free. Hope this helps.

Hi Momma O,

The best way is to douche with vinegar and water, especially after sex. They come prepackaged in any drug store.

All the best,

Hope you fixed your problem I also suffer from lots of vaginal infections and have had alot of personal experience. My understanding is if there is odor definitely an infection, I've always been told never douch, no sprays ,no wipes, no powders absolutely nothing water and soap,o and cotton panties and if you can at nite try not to wear them, Im sure your husband wont mind. All products have chemicals and yes completely will unbalance your ph.Let a doctor make the diagnosing.

Victoria is 100% right. Anytime there is a concern about odor it's best to see the doctor to rule out any infection. This isn't something that you can diagnose yourself or use home remedies. And using powders, sprays and douches can mask a problem.
Also, it is no longer recommended to routinely douche. It disrupts the balance in your vagina and can lead to an overgrowth of the unwanted bacteria.
As a side note. women need to feel comfortable and confident with their natural feminine fragrance. There is no need for douches, sprays, and powders. Following regular personal hygiene routines such as a once or twice daily bath/shower is sufficient. Women have been made to feel like their natural selves is somehow not pleasant.

First I would like to suggest going to the doctor to make sure everything is okay.
Next I can suggest several things...use pantyliners everyday and change it at least once during the day (I like Always-Long brand), use feminine wash (I like Summer's Eve brand), use feminine deodorant spray (again, I like Summer's Eve), use feminine flushable wipes (I like Always brand) just to freshen up during the day and finally douche at least twice a month especially after your period.

I hope this helps.

If you are referring to sweat, I apply deodorant in my groin area.

See your gynecologist. Often odor is a symptom of an underlying infection.

I would be interested in answers for this too. Have you tried baby powder? Also if you workout take a shower and put on dry clothes as soon as possible.

Infection, probably. See your doctor to rule it out.

hi,

Try soaking in the bath with a cup of baking soda. I know that sounds stupid but I started doing that years ago when I had a yeast infection from medication. It helped with the itching and the odor.

Please do not douche! It washes away all good bacteria and you will get an infection, or make one 10 times worse. Most likely odor means its a bacterial infection and will need see your GYN for a prescription.
