Most employers that require you to be tested and/or immunized as a condition of employment will pay for it. At least in California. We have employees who are nursing students and they get tested/immunized at the college so before we even get them, they can show proof.

You can get free or low cost testing at your local health department if you choose to do so on your own. You don't need health insurance.

Best wishes.

Contact your local Heath Department. TB tests are usually about $20-30.

You should be able to go to your health department and get medical care free.

There will also be one hospital in your county that provides free medical care.

Typically for either of these you will have a significant wait, but that will balance out the cost.

The cost to obtain this test will vary based on provider - there is usually not one set price. But you can call the billing dept of your regular physician and ask how much it would be if you are a cash patient. Many times they will give you a negotiated rate.

You can also call the school where you want to enroll. They may be able to point you in the direction of who would provide this test.

Most employers that require specific immunizations also supply them. Have you checked into that?

My brother in law is a nurse and his wife is a nurse practitioner. Between them they have worked for at least 3 different hospitals and multiple private practices...

If it is a requirement for work, your employer will likely provide them. If it is a requirement for your program (you will have "contact hours" before you are allowed to work), then ask your instructor where to go. If you are taking classes at a local community college, you can likely have it done on campus. Otherwise, you will have to go to a health clinic.

A quick Google search...

I don't know how much they cost, but there should be health clinics for your city or county. Call your local DHS office. They should have resources for who gives them at low cost. Often times, flu shots are around $20 or even free...I know that.
