It wouldn't hurt to call your pediatrician and have her seen in the morning. Without seeing her breathe, we couldn't tell you if it was normal or not. Good luck and congratulations on your new baby!
MY baby that is about to be 6 weeks old is having deep breathes. She wa sick for a couple of days and right now she is finally get out of it she is a lot better. Although right now she is asleep and I see her breathe kind of hard is that normal.?

Newborns do breathe quite deeply and there chest moves alot aswell , but if you are at all concerned then speak to the ped , it is better to check something and it be nothing than to leave it and it not be right.
Good luck & congratulations
I don't know if that is normal or not. I am just writing to tell you how to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. If your doctor hasn't told you yet, your baby, until she is about 3mos old (check with your doctor about how long to do this), should always sleep on her side. Wrap her up snugly, not too tight, and put a pillow or stuffed animal against the crib railing. Place her on her side, so that her back is propped up against the pillow. You don't want her flat on her back, or on her stomach while she is sleeping. Your pediatrician can explain why. The reason for wrapping babies snugly when they are newborns is that they are used to being very snug in the womb. Wrapping them snugly makes them feel secure.
