I have never been out on New Years Eve in Dallas but I think we're going to this year. I'd def like dancing to be part of our night. Any suggestions? Thanks.

We might go to Down Under which has a live band and champagne toast for $10 cover. There is also a chance that we'll go to Main Event (no dancing there except for your awesome 'Strike!' dance). But they're having bowling, laser tag, buffet, glow golf, rock climbing etc...Enough to keep you active till the ball drops all for $30 and kids are optional. Glass Cactus is having the Spazmatics for $75 cover or if you want to stay overnight, the ballroom at the Gaylord is having Le Freak for $$.

I would stay home. Last yr my boyfriend got tickets to a well advertised dance and we were a little late. No food all gone just a bunch drinking and the dancing was awful with bump and grind and very discusting dancing if you call it that. We were the oldest ones there and people were almost having sex everywhere young kids. So disrespectful of themselves. Touching private parts both men and gals. I bought a $300 dress and shoes and it was no fun. I would have a nice house party with a couple of friends and dance in your living room. Not worth $600 for a night out I did not enjoy. Absolutely not a nice Christian place to go to. G. W

It depends on your budget, age and personal taste. Most of the hotels have a New Year's Eve package that includes dinner, dancing and a room. This would be my preference. It is all inclusive and you don't have to worry about driving. Emerald City Band is a great local cover band that is playing at the Intercontinental Hotel in Addison, but I think the hotel packages are sold out. I would check to see if they are still selling tickets. Not sure what most of the clubs do, but probably have some kind of cover package that includes a glass of champagne. We usually just get together with friends and eat dinner and hang at someone's house. Everything is expensive, often around $250 per person. Most everything is at least twice what it would cost on any other night and crowded. Just check out guidelive.com and see what appeals to you. I would get on it right away though, because many of the most popular events will be selling out.

Check out Big D NYE... It is supposedly a lot of fun.

A lot of the hotels have package deals, I'd suggest the higher end ones such as the W, ZaZa,, Crescent etc.

One year (before daughter) we went to Caberet Royale and it was a blast. Yes, it is a men's club but at the time, very nice and upscale.
