New to Tigard, Need Doctors...

I moved to Tigard back in february & right away got on finding doctors for my kids.... that has all gone wonderfully & we have found great pediatrician & some specialists for my son who has some special needs... BUT, what I don't have is a gynocologist for myself & just a general family doctor for my husband & I. I would like to find the two of these soon. I prefer a female gyno, but as for a regular doctor, it doesn't matter as long as he or she is good. Thank you for any recommendations!

What can I do next?

I see Debbi Duran-Snell at the tualatin womens healthcare center by meridian park hospital. there is another midwife there and her name is angie and i like her also. for general doctors there are some in the office on the corner of 65th and borland rd. they are diagonal from the hospital. the doc we saw just left but my husband just went in to see dr. jon berger, he was very nice and helpful. good luck

Hi V.,

Welcome to Oregon! I can personally recommend SW Family Physicians. I am a doula, and they have a truly wonderful practice with a female gynecologist, and midwives who care for much of the women's healthcare needs. They are great with later appointment's Saturday appointments. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Please tell them T. sent you.

Kind regards,
T. Nelson CD

Hi V.,

Welcome to the area! I just love my doctor, Kara Kassay. I recently had to find an new pcp myself as mine (who I loved!) moved to the East Coast. Anyway, I'm always hesitant about finding a new doctor and am a little picky. I want someone that treats more than the phsycial symptoms but looks for their cause and treats the who person; physically, emotionally, spiritually, etc. Anyway, I've only been seeing Dr. Kassay for about 3 months but I just love her and she has been very helpful, accomodating, thorough and easy to get to know. Her PA Amanda is excellent also. I believe she will do ob/gyn work as well but am not 100% sure on that. Her website is www.karakassay.com Oh, she's in Lake Oswego, but right where it borders Tigard so it's not too far from you. She's a wonderful doctor and I believe you'll be happy with her if you go! Good luck and again welcome to the area.
