New to Area - Need to Find a Good Ped!

Hi everyone -

My family is new to the Loveland area, our previous ped was in Boulder, but that isn't convenient any more. My son is almost 2 and I'm due with my second baby in Nov. Ideally our pediatrician would be pro-breastfeeding and not be too conservative.

Thanks for your help!
Kim

Welcome to Loveland! I have a daughter who will be 1 in Nov. I found a ped. I love, but she's in Fort Collins. Dr. Jennifer Markley at Pediatric Assoc. ###-###-####. She came highly recommended to me. Everyone on the staff has been wonderful.
Good luck to you and best wishes to your family.

Take care,
D.

I have a 3 1/2 and 11 month old, both boys. Our Ped. is Dr Mark Weisner at Big Thompson Pediactrics. We have been very pleased with him and all the staff. Both boys were delievered at Mckee Medical Center and everyone there is amazing.
Hope this helps!

Hi Kim!
Check out The Loveland Youth Clinic, P.C. It's headed by Dr. Michael Quintana and his assistants Dr. Philip Ballenski and Dr. Arlene Boyd. They're awesome! I have two children and one on the way; I've used them from day one!

Good afternoon: I have a 2 year old myself. I take him to the Fort Collins Youth Clinic, they have one office in South Fort Collins and another one in Windsor, they might be convenient for you. Their staff is about 20 doctors, but they also have about 20 Physicians assistants so it's always possible to find an appointment that same day. Everybody that has seens my son have been very knowledgeable (I don't know if I spelled that right)and kind. One thing I like too is that they care for your child, but they also care for the parent's well being as well and the treatment options that you get for any malady are focused in getting your child well but without making you go crazy. I am full of good things to say about them, they hooked us up with a speech therapist when we thought our son was getting a little behind. Oh, and something really cool, they have a nurse line. You call on weekdays and either a nurse answers or you leave a message and they call you back within the hour, they give advice on breastfeeding, or if you should make an appointment, or if it's something you can treat at home. That was a great money saver for us because the instructions over the phone allowed us not to make an appointment and pay the co-pay. Anyway, I hope this helps and let me know if you need more information. M.
