Ob/Gyn Associates in Marietta. The doctors are great!!! They are located right by Kennestone Hospital!
We have just relocated for work, and I found out last week that I am pregnant. I have not found an OB/GYN yet, and I was wondering if any of you could recommend someone. I am looking for 3 things: experience, good bedside manners, and someone who you deem trustworthy. Also, what hospitals are located in this area? We live in Kennesaw.

I go to OBGYN Associates in Marietta. They are next to Kennestone Hospital where my daughter was born last fall. We had a great experience both with our team of Dr's & midwives and the hospital itself. There are 5 Drs & 5 midwives. The office gives you a small town feel. Dr Espy who heads the practice collects & displays various memoriablia. Every Dr I have met thru Kennestone knows Dr Espy and most have had their children & grandchildren delivered by him or his practice. Give them a call

northside delivers more babes than any other hospital in the states. melissa parker at roswell ob sees patients in woodstock
Allow me to hop onto the OB/GYN Associates bandwagon as well! I had a phenomenal labor and delivery experience with those folks.
With my first daughter, she came via c-section after about 13 hours of labor that stalled. She was having variable d-cels, so the OB/GYN opted for a C-Section. Thank goodness because she ended up having nucchal cord twice wrapped around her neck. That would explain the d-cels. Anyhow, this was in California where we moved from a little over two years ago.
I had experienced some reluctance with some OBs with my second daughter (13 mos. old) in considering the possibility of a VBAC. I guess the common belief is once a C-Section patient, then you will be for subsequent pregnancies. I heard so many differing opinions on this, but the prevaling one was that unless the C-Section was for uterus size or baby size or for severe uterine tearing, a VBAC could be a possibility. Nonetheless, the OB I was briefly seeing would not really seriously consider my wishes, which made me switch OBs.
To make a long story short, Corinne was born (by the way, at Kennestone Hospital - an awesome place!) via a VBAC, with Dr. Kimberly Huffman delivering her. I ABSOLUTELY trust those doctors, and think the entire group of them are wonderful, caring physicians who LISTEN to the patient. They are absolutely skilled physicians, who also have awesome bedside manners.
Would I recommend them? YOU BET!

Hi K., I'm delivering at Kennestone Hospital which is not as crowded as some of the other hospitals in the area. Also, Dr. Bobby Tackitt with the Marietta OB-Byn Associates came highly recommended to me from several friends & co-workers. They have offices in Woodstock & Marietta. (770) 422- 8700
Good Luck!
I delivered my baby girl at Wellstar Cobb Hospital and I would recommend it to anyone. I am very critical of hospitals because I am a nurse, but I thought this hospital was outstanding! I have had four babies in four different hospitals because of moving around and Cobb was by far the best experience we had. Everyone rants and raves about Northside, but when I visited my friend there, the first thing I noticed was how tiny the rooms were. My room at Cobb was about twice the size of the rooms at Northside.
My doctor was also great. Dr. Eric Brown. He is in a small practice with two other doctors and the practice name is GYN-care and it is located in Smyrna. I am not sure how far that would be for you to go, but there are a lot of good doctors that practice at Cobb.
I am actually sitting in front of my obgyn office as I type. I was just checking my messages before heading home. Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend Marietta Obgyn Affliates ###-###-####). They are located next door to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, which has an incredible womens center. I would recommend you take a tour of the womens center...they are free and it will give you a good sense of if you want to deliver there. But about the dr...there are 6 dr that deliver. I like them all - some more than others, but its just a personality thing. I love Dr Tagechian (Tag). She delivered our daughter and it became an emergency and she rocked. I am currently seeing Dr Alarcon, but truly they are all good. You would rotate through the 6 dr throughout the pregancy. They also have a Towne Lake (Woodstock) office and one in West Cobb if either of those would be convenient also. Anyways, good luck and congrats! Let me know if you have any questions!
I don't know how far you are willing to travel, but Atlanta Women's Obstetrics and Gynecology is the greatest. I live in Roswell.Trips during my pregnancy were lengthy but worthwhile. Doctors are women with tons of experience in OB/GYN. Their office is brand new and fully self contained. The wait list for an appointment is never long and I got the one on one attention that I needed ###-###-####
Hi...
I highly recommend you look for a midwife instead! There is a great nurse-midwife that attends birts at North Fulton Hospital (the only hosp in GA where yo can have a WATERBIRTH !!!)and she is great. Check her out at:

I live in Acworth and know of a lot of people from Marietta & Kennesaw who make the 40 min drive and we all agree on how worth it is.
Hope that helps, good luck and congrats in your pregnancy :o)
I used to see Dr. Kimberly Huffman, she is located across the road from Kennestone Hospital. I changed drs as I moved. She is wonderful and I would highly recommend her.

Good Luck.
I'll add my vote for OB-GYN Associates (the practice Dr Huffman and Dr Tackitt are part of, there are also other Drs and midwives). Their main office is in Marietta (right across the street from Kennestone), but they also have an office on Towne Lake Pkwy. I used them when my son was born and now as I'm pregnant again. My favorite is the midwife Monica Clark, but all the doctors and midwives are nice. (the midwives act the same as doctors except that only doctors handle surgeries and major complications)
Hello K.,
I absolutely love my OB. He treated me my first pregnancy and is now my primary for my second. I, too just found out I was pregnant again last month. His name is Dr. Clement Hsiao...my family loved the way he handled me during my delivery so much that he is now the family OB. His number is ###-###-####. Great Man!
