Nesting - Topeka,KS

Congratualtions!! I am still nesting and my kids are 11,9 and 5. I am always doing things to make our "nest" warm,cozy,inviting and a safe haven for my family and all who visit. I think it is just a mama thing. Though when you are pregnant there is a sense of urgency because a little one is soon joining the nest and you want to be prepared and ready.

But...overall I think nesting is a continuous feeling. That is why women tend to do all the holiday tradition stuff, crafty things and all the foo foo stuff around the house. Women have a tendency to bedazzle everything..it is our nature.

That's not to bad...I still have 14 weeks to go and I go into the babies room several times a day reorganizing things and spend alot of time online looking at more stuff for the babies room. This is my second and I didn't get to spend a lot of money on my son's room. But since this is my second so most of the bigger stuff is handy me down from my first (the crib, car seat, infant seat, stroller, ect) and I have a little more to spend on making my daughter's room pretty. Plus I get really domestic when I am pregnant. I am constantly baking and cooking and freezing things.

Oh I had about 8 weeks left when I was nesting also. And I ended up wanting to pull my hair out. I had washed everything- some things twice. Everything was set up and in its place. I washed things that probably didn't need washing! Hang in there and congrats!!

I think it started almost as soon as I found out I was pregnant with baby number two. Im due is Feb and I feel like there is just no time to get everything done around here

Oh nesting! :)
I started hard core about three weeks before. Our nursery wasn't painted yet (we only had one more wall to go) and one night I just flipped out and finished it myself at like 2 in the morning! I was also kind of superstitious about it too, though, so I was afraid to take tags off of things or wash them.
