Needing to Replace Furnace, Possibly AC Too!

Wondering if any of you great Moms know a trustworthy heating/ac company? We have an older home and our furnace is slowly dying. We think we might go ahead and replace both the ancient furnace and AC if we get a decent price. We pretty much know what we need/want, just need to get the "ball rolling." AND of course dont want to be "screwed"

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the great responses! This is a wonderful group for all us Moms! Well new furnace and AC will be installed on Friday. Im excited to get it replaced, we found out Monday that it is actually 33 yrs. old! My father contacted an old friend that does industrial/business HVAC. The guy was actually willing to help us out and he didnt have contracts with just one main company like Trane. So therefore he was able to give a wide range of prices and choices.
Thanks again to all of you!

We really liked Bob Hamilton and my neighbor has wonderful things to say about Neil something (can't remember the last name, sorry!).

Try Rick Bross, at ###-###-####.

My dad used to own a heating and cooling company, and Rick was one of several guys who used to work for him. My dad's now retired, and uses ONLY Rick for our family. He's got his own company now, and is really wonderful - in terms of service and personality. Tell him S. P. gave you his name.

I just had this done over the summer and I HIGHLY recommend Steinmetz HVAC Heating and Cooling ###-###-####.

Thankfully my A/C was covered under my home warranty but my furnace wasn't. I got a great price on the furance and they did the job quick and professionaly. Answered all my questions.

My furance was almost 40 years old and once he pulled it out we realized my family wasn't getting properly filtered air circulation.

Not to mention the saving in both electric and gas bill.

Good Luck!!!

arctic air did a great job with our water heater, there was another co that did our a/c who was great also, a father/son team, but I dont have their card handy. I do wish I remember the name of the co. that did our blower though because we've been told on several occasions that we were outragiously overcharged. I'll see if i can find that other card, it was summer a year ago, so its been a while.
