Needing My Brakes Done ASAP - Need a Referral for Reliable Mechanic.

Hello Ladies! The brakes in my mini-van are near grinding and I need to get it in to a mechanic ASAP. I've lived in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho for 16 years and have had one bad experience after another when it comes to auto mechanics. Brakes are usually where I'm taken advantage of most. Does anyone know of a reputable place for brakes?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you for the recommendations! I went to American Tire. I've been there with some tire issues before and they've always been good to me. I got out the door with my front brakes done for $680. About what I've paid in the past (perhaps a little more), so I feel I did good.

I'd recommend Bobby Joe's Auto Service ###-###-####) or Ethridge Tire Center ###-###-####). Ethridge also has a west side location.

Good luck,

M.

Hello M.!!
My sister is the receptionist at The Garage on the Westside. She kept telling us about how great the guys were worked there and how ethical they are. We decided to trust them with a major problem with our car and they went above and beyond in every possible way. Our old car has never worked better!! They are highly recommended by us.

Good Morning M., You might try American Tire in Rio Rancho and make sure you ask for Doug (the owner). I have always had good luck with them. I know what you mean about having bad luck with mechanics. For some reason they love to take advantage. Especially when it comes to women with no knowledge. I would read up on brakes from the internet before you go, if nothing else it will keep you better informed. Good Luck.
