I really need to get something done here. I am really tired of my man's exes false reports to CPS. This time she went to far and said I was slapping his daughter with an open hand and this was all due to his daughters going back and complaining like step children do, but this time it has went to far I want something done does anyone know a good civil lawyer. The thing is I never even touched his daughter, and refuse to even though I was given permission to.

What can I do next?

I wish that I had some advice for you. Sorry. First of all, how old is the child? And second, why hasn't her father had a talk with her to find out why she says these things to her mom? The mom isn't just getting this from out of nowhere! It sounds to me like the girl is probably upset about her parents not being together anymore, and is trying to rebel, or cause problems. Of course, her mom is going to believe what she says! If the tables were turned, wouldn't you believe your daughter? I would sit down with the mother and father and find out where these accusations are coming from.

Good luck

There isn't much you can do about her calling CPS, they have to investigate every call even if they know the person calling is a nut who calls all the time. I would suggest keeping a spiral-bound notebook of anytime this happens and also other things, like mom being late to pick them up or things they say to you about things that go on at her house. I've heard you can use this in family court if he ever wants to take his x back to court. I would also suggest you take the daughter to counseling which would look good for you guys, and also help her as being caught in the middle of fighting parents is never an easy place to be. Good luck!

Sounds like the daughter is doing her level best to discredit you, make dad angry at you, and he and mom will get back together. It's a typical ploy kids will do because their security and sense of continuity and familiarity has been disrupted. The mom can only take in what the daughter tells her. The kid's world is upside down. If mom starts not believing her then she has nothing to grasp. She needs mom's confidence and approval because it's some way she can make sense of things. It's something to hold on to. Wrong as the accusations are to put forward, the girl is trying to feel some control over something that unwound. She unfortunately sees you as the cause, because you're the only factor that's been different. It's the working of the child's mind. It doesn't always make sense.

But definitely talk to a lawyer. Defamation of character and false accusations usually don't go over well, legally. Slander doesn't either.
