Need Source for Mass Emailing

I agree, I hate to get a mass email with mile long list of names just to read the email...I hope you find an answer and I am looking at responses!

I used to handle the email marketing at my last company, and we used an inexpensive yet professional email service thru www.constantcontact.com. If you're looking for more of a newsletter format you might consider http://www.imninc.com (I Make News).

No one else posted this but I use www.ymlp.com for all my business newsletters! I think they have a free version, but it doesn't cost that much to upgrade. :)

I have been in e-solutions for quite some time now and there are 2 ways you can do this easily.

If you have Microsoft Word - why don't you just do a simple mail merge? in the 2003 and 2007 versions, you simply create a spreadsheet with all the email contact info in it and then use it as your datasource. This will also allow you to personalize your communication to each person by what is listed on the spreadsheet.

If you need to send HTML communications, there is a program by Coloradosoft.com called WorldMerge that is very reasonable and works alot like Word and does not require you have any HTML knowledge.

blind copy everyone, it's your "BCC" box, which is also a good thing so the other people don't have each other's email addresses. I know some people really hate it when their email address is listed on a copy.

I've used them at both my previous employer and my current employer. Yes, it does cost money, but it's based on how many email addresses you have. The emails can even be individually customized so each recipient receives an email that says "Dear Bob" or whatever their name is. It also allows you to see who's opening your emails, who is ignoring them or blocking you, and who is clicking on various topics (that is, if you link them to a website).

Go to: www.constantcontact.com. It's great for small business owners. It's a service that allows you to design an email newsletter, announcement, sale or invitation, upload pictures, write your own content, and include links toyour web site. Then you upload all your email addresses and send it! Once the email distributes, Constant Contact can track who opens the email and who "clicks thru" on different links (like "Register Now" links). I run trade shows for many different organizations and this service allows me to seperate the emails for different clients, media partners, etc. (becaus enot everyone needs to receive the same message). I think you get a free trial for a month or so. It might also be free for up to 40 emails. I have over a few hundred emails in my database so I pay about $35/month for the service. It's really great, easy to use, and I LOVE the ability to track who received it, who opened it, which emails bounced, etc.

I'd like the same info if you get it. I too am tired of going thru many lists of my friends to send one email to them al so usually just don't.

Terry, we use Constant Contact on my job. We provide them with a list of names and the content and they mail it out. We do not send spam and only work with the list of individuals who have "opted in" to receive our emails.

In my mind your list would be the same just smaller.

I use Constant Contact for a non-profit group I'm involved with and really like it alot. You can try it free for a month to see if you like it.

Try services such as Constant Contact or Vertical Response. I used Vertical Response for my business. You get the look you want and they have some great templates and other tools you've seen from the other business emails you're referring to. Also, you can track the success, which is the best part. You can track who has opened the email, unsubsribed, clicked on your website, etc. You can also keep you mailing list in there and group according to certain needs. It's worth checking out. It is not free, but very affordable. You pay per email sent. You do have to sign an agreement that says you are not spamming or sending unsolicited emails. Good luck!

Check out www.verticalresponse.com. I used them before for a company I worked for. You have to pay for the service -- but it is fairly inexpensive -- and will probably save you a ton of time. And you can make the emails look nice, people can unsubscribe and you can see stats on who opens your emails, clicks on links, etc.

Excel will allow you to put all emails in the spreadsheet and do a mass email.

Try Constant Contact as previously mentioned or SwiftMail. I am a marketing director and use both at work to send mass emails.

I've been using Constant Contact with my organization and it works great. You can upload graphics and track everyone on your list, if they open the message, if they click to the message, etc. Very, very easy to use and maintain. It's around $15/month for less than 500 addresses.

I think you can put all the people in your contact lists under a certain folder name, then choose that folder as the recipient instead of listing each mailing addy it will only list the name of the folder in the TO box.

I get mass emails from spammers all the time that just says to undisclosed recipients with no email addys shown.

I too have a home based business and I use yahoo.com I have what I call email blast You can put up to 100 emails in one catagory and then just click on the name of the catagory and they will all be sent together Such as I have wholesale buyers 1,2 and 3 each having 100 per catagory Hope this helps have a great day V.

There should be a BCC option on your email. If it's an email to do something like announce something to a huge group of friends and family and your regular email will let you send that many emails (some won't) then you could use that function. No one will know you sent the email to hundreds of others. You could put your name in the TO box and everyone else in the BCC. (I think it's the same as CC, but makes it so you can't see names...)
