I think she meant vinegar and warm water...
I just wing it. I wash my hardwood floors with vinegar and hot water. I fill the bucket with hot water and put about a 1/2 cup or so of vinegar.
Works great.

My sister in law told me that to clean her kitchen cabinets (oak) she mixes up a bottle with olive oil and vinegar. sprays and wipes down. does anyone else do this? I don't have a clue what the mixture should be. even half of each? a little vinegar a lot of oil? If anyone does this and knows it works would you please share the mix. thanks
lol I did ask her and she said just a little oil and some vinegar. Thanks B that was exactly what I was looking for and it is working beautifully.

I always thought vinegar and olive oil was for salad :)
I never heard of it before but I Google'd it and found these:

Well, if it works for your sister-in-law, why not ask for her recipe?
when I think of oil and vinegar - I think of salad..
I use vinegar or lemon juice to wipe down my oak cabinets after I've fried foods..
I am sure the oil would be a great way to polish the wood...so I don't know!!!
I use equal parts olive oil and lemon juice on our wood furniture and it works wonderfully. I cant see a reason why it wouldn't work on wood cabinets.
I haven't done it, but this is what I found:
using 1/4 cup vinegar plus a few drops of oil,
you can substitute lemon juice for the vinegar

Olive oil? Are they wood cabinets? Olive oil seems weird.
For painted cabinets, just use a wet cloth and Fantastic or 409. Don't know about wood cabinets.
