Tomorrow is my son's 2nd birthday. My in-laws are coming into town and I was wondering if there were any fun kid friendly/entertainment restaurants around that would be good. I know there is Chuck E Cheese, but I am tired of that place and I want a better meal than they have to offer. I was thinking of going to Casa Bonita, my sister said it was fun, but their website looks kind of lame, so now I am not sure. Dave & Busters also looks kind of fun, but from their website it sounds like they are geared more towards adults. It doesn't look like there would be a lot for my son to do, except skeeball. Do any of you know of any other place that would be fun, but also has good food? Have any of you been to Casa Bonita or Dave & Busters? Do you think they would be fun for my son? By the way, we live in Westminster and would prefer not to travel more than about 20 minutes. Am I putting too many restrictions on myself! I hope not! Thank you so much!

Casa Bonita is definitely fun but the food is worse than Chuck E Cheese!

If you want Colorado kitschy, we really like the Trail Dust which is close if you are in Westminster. It's in the parking lot of the Westminster Mall on the east side. Plus if you're new to CO, then you have to go - it's a Colorado tradition!

They are a steak and ribs place that is yummy. The texas toast is well known in the area. Big huge tables and family style sides. They usually have music playing (yes country western) with a dance floor so you're little one can dance. Very family friendly.

There's a HUGE slide that my boys just love to go down (and adults are allowed down with little ones).

The funniest thing about the Trail Dust is that if you wear a tie, the wait-staff makes this big hulabaloo with cowbells and they come over and cut your tie off! Then they hang the ties on the wall (the place is covered with them) and you get a free drink. My kids have gone to birthday parties there and the parents buy a bunch of thrift store ties just for the ocassion.

Of the three, that's what I'd pick!

Casa Bonita is a lot of fun and great for all ages. I have never been too Dave and Busters. I'm not sure of any other kid friendly restaurants unless you want to do fast food with a play area. Sorry I can't help more but any way you look at it- your son is 2 and isn't that exciting!!!!
I moved here about a year and a half and still trying to find friends in the area.

Try Spaghetti factory downtown, good food, fun for kids and nice for grown ups.
Casa Bonita is super cool, however the food is absolutely awful!!!!! I mean bad!

Casa Bonita is super fun but their food is disgusting. I definitely recommend Dave and Busters or Red & Jerry's!!!
