We are moving back to PHX and my 3 year old is potty trained and ready to move from her in-home daycare to a pre-school daycare. We had a wonderful in-home provider when we lived there before but I feel my little girl is ready for more of an educational setting. I still want her to have lots of love and attention. I am hoping someone out there has a suggestion of a place within a reasonable distance (5-10 miles) where my baby can be safe, happy, and prosper.
I live in this same area and spent countless hours trying to find an educational based program. I wish you luck in finding something good. I now bring my son to a Montessori program near downtown. I did hear of one school near Northern and 7th called I believe Creative Beginnings or something along those lines. I know I'm not much help, just letting you know how hard it is to find a great school so I feel your pain.
Is 75th Ave and the 101 too far? Community Church of Joy has an awesome preschool. Is it too late to get a smaller house so you don't have to work so much?
Paradise Valley Cooperative School is in that area. They just moved from Shea & the 51. My son had a great 2 years there. The program is based on child-centered play, so you might not feel that there were enough academics, but it was great for us.

Beyond Care at Bell and 16th street were wonderful the short time my children were there.
