Need New Pedi-Dentist

Hiya!
My daughter and several of her friends go to Dr. Sherwood and LOVE him. Seriously, when we even drive by his office, she asks if we can go today! She's 4 1/2, so she's still young enough that the dentist could really scare her, but even after having two fillings at his office, she still seems to think of his office as the closest Austin has to Disneyworld. I recommend him ABSOLUTELY. I wish I'd had a pediatric dentist who was so cool when I was a kid--mine was evil. But that's another story! Good luck!

My neighbor is Kyle Raymond and he is a great guy. I've heard great things about him as a dentist from other moms. I have not been with my daughter yet who is 18 months, but plan on going to him.

If your looking for someone up north, Dr. Danny Watts at Pediatric Dental Professionals, 9015 Mountain Ridge Dr., ###-###-#### is awesome.

His associate Dr. Thiel has an office in South Austin at 4701 West Gate Blvd., ###-###-####. I don't know if he still goes to the North Office, but he is just as great and I love there staff. It's all about the kids and they make them feel very comfortable.

Have NOT heard good things about Weaver.......I would not see him. As far as the others....I haven't heard of them & go to another dentist not on your above list.

I've gone to Dr. Raymond. Of course, it was only for her infant 18 month check up... Good experience. I plan to take her back for her upcoming check up.

For me, I look for pediatric doctors and dentists that are in our home radius... I try to limit the amount of driving time required for her medical visits. Even if someone told me about a great dentist, if the office was too far of a drive then I'd pass on it.

Hi! I am a recently graduated dental assistant and I interviewed with Dr. Yazdi I really liked the feel of their office and everyone there was really great! I didn't get the job, I think they wanted someone that was bilingual but that was one out of 10 interviews that I really wanted to get,I spent a lot of time talking to his wife about their kids and it just felt like a great environment, I think I would take my kids there!

Hi, we love Dr. Babot. Have been with her for years.
We tried Dr. Weaver before her, office lady was a dragon. They did not let parent go back with children and the door locked behind them as they took my kiddos back to work on. Not ok with me at all. Did not care for Dr. Weaver himself either. That was about 6 or 7 years ago. Good luck on your search.

I have used Dr. Weaver for all five children. Never had any problems, the only thing is you cannot be present with your child while having dental work done.
My oldest child is 12 and still sees him.
