Help moms! We got UB Funkees for Christmas and have still had no luck getting to play it on our computer. It installs fine but we get to the page to play it and it tells us to please make sure our UB Funkees is plugged into the computer when it already is. We've tried everything! Anyone else out there have this computer game and have this issue? Thanks mamasource!

My son has UB Funkeys and it took us a while to figure out how to get it to work.
What we did was install the game with the CD that came with it. Then, plug the funkey in to your computer. Something should pop up telling you that you have inserted removeable stuff into your computer. Click on that. If nothing seems to work... go to http://www.ubfunkeys.com/index.html and click on INSTALLATION HELP. Good luck.

We were having the same problem with the game the other day. I tried everything to get it to work. Even re-installing it finally I gave. The next day my son who plugged it in the day before said you know mom there are two slots that you can plug it in lets try the other one. He tried and it worked fine. I had even tried replugging it in and it worked. We got our for Christmas and this was the first time we had problems. Hope this helps.

I do not have the game but filmier with computer problems. Sometimes it takes more then installing the program... there is so much more going on with computers then ever before. We got a new printer but since your computer was 6 years old it would not work with our computer, it sucked and we ending up getting a new computer.
- Check to make sure that the game is compatible to your computer system (Windows, UNIX, Apple and so on). Even if the game does not work with your computer system it can still be installed, but you will not be able to play it. So frustrating.
- Check where you plug in the UB Funkees. Your computer may not recognize the device you have plugged in if your computer is older (even if you got it a year ago). The best way to figure out if your computer is recognizing the device is look up USB ports and see what you have installed/plugged in. You may have to "install" a certain port program (gotten from a webstie for free) to get the device working. There are programs in help that could tell you step by step how to fix this problem.
If your computer refuses to recognize the device go to the help on your computer and they will help you further troubleshoot your problem... and hopefully you get it working!

We had to go to the UB Funkees website to get the "patch" that allows the game to be installed. We wouldn't have known about it except that my daughters friend advised us of it prior to our purchase. It's pretty easy to do and it's free. Hopefully that will offer some resolution.
