I am relatively new to the area and am looking for a good mechanic in the East Valley (Gilbert). I hate taking my cars to the dealerships for servicing because they always seem to charge way to much for work that does not need to be done. If anyone has a reliable person to do an occasional tune up, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I take my car to Auto Vaun in Mesa. I live in Gilbert and have been taking my cars to them for four years. They are very honest and always do only what is needed. They once overcharged us for $1.54 (I did not even catch it) we got a refund check and a letter from them apologizing for their mistake. I would not go anywhere else because when I leave their shop, I know my family is safe. They are worth the trip!

My husband is the manager at the Goodyear on Ray (between Gilbert and Cooper). He's fair, they can take you home and they usually get you done the same day. Another good thing is the nationwide warranty they offer, so no matter where you go you're covered. If you go in tell him you heard about him through me! They'll take good care of you.
