Have you ever been to Texas de Brazil in downtown Ft. Worth? We love going there for special occasions! A cruise would be a great vacation-something to please everyone. Congratulations and good luck with giving the news!
Hi moms! Let me clear something up 1st before I get an ugly response... My 2 children and his 2 children ALL knew we were engaged,we have lived together for 2 years, and they all knew we weren't going to have a "WEDDING" so none will be mad. They will be excited! Now, we get all 4 kids back tomorrow afternoon. I want ideas of a really nice restaraunt we can take them to for dinner and break the news; maybe with a cake that says"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Foster"??? So, we already checked the Reunion Tower in Dallas and it's under renovation until fall. We love Del Frisco's but we've been there several times. Any ideas? We live in N Arlington but Dallas and Ft worth would be fine. Now also, IF we can have it booked by dinner time tomorrow we would love to present the kids with an invitation to a family honeymoon! I need ideas about what kind of vacation would be best with all 4 kids. Land or Sea? I just came back from a cruise and I think all the kids would have loved it. My husband is leaning towards flying to Mexico, Jamaica etc... just because of more time on the beach itself. His kids have been lucky enough to have taken cruises before and been to Mexico,Jamaica, Hawaii etc... Mine wouldn't care if we went to a Texas beach! LOL! So, please let me know your thoughts fast! The kids are 15,13,12 and 10. Thanks!

Much congratulations...
Guess you could do medival times and have them announce it :)
if you call ahead they may accomodate...something fun ....
Also various ages maybe a Disney Cruise? I hear they are fun no matter what the age! Would be nice to keep everyone together and with a cruise fun throughout the ship instead of sight seeing, etc. Still would need the passports though unless maybe because of the ages you could present Birth Certificates for the younger? I have not checked that close we just all got passports.
Let's us know how the surprise goes!
Have you thought about one of the cruises out of Galveston. We have been twice and they are very kid friendly. Of course, you would want to wait until the hurricanes settle down. But, we loved it both times we went.
Also loved out cruises out of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Florida. You can't go wrong with a cruise because they offer something for everyone. Many have kid camps, etc. and the open dining makes it much easier to eat when you want and not have to dress up every night.
No advice, just wanted to say Congratulations!!!!
Thoughts on Honeymoon - does everyone have passports (may be required depending on where you go)? I have personally been to Cancun & Puerto Rico (both have all inclusive hotels). Both are nice. If you're booking for travel within the next few days, the prices will probably be more expensive. Check out www.aavacations.com - bookings can be done online or via representative - contact info is on website - and they can include hotel, flight & car as a package. For a less expensive route; since the weather is still decent, you could go camping at the lake.
Can't help with the dinner as we hardly eat out at restaurants...
Congratulations on the marriage!

Congratulations! Have you ever been on the Trip Advisor website? My husband works for the airline so we travel alot and that's the first place I go for travel advice. You can find anything and everything on there! It's real people with their personal experiences. An all inclusive designed for families with teens would be ideal (cruise, too!). Take a look and see what goodies are out there. You'll find tons!
Have fun! :)
Congratulations! Do you think the kids are too mature for the Rain Forest Cafe? The menu is not exactly gourmet, but it is expensive enough to be for special occasions only in our house.
As for the honeymoon, when are you going? If it is soon, the only beach I would go to this time of year is California. I love going on cruises, but again not now. I don't know if now is the season for a cruise to Alaska, but you could look into that. Also remember if you don't already have passports for everyone, you need one now if going by plane. Good Luck!
Lets hope you can find someplace where the hurricanes are'nt there! Happy Honeymoon and Congrats!! :)
I went to Puerto Vallarta on a business trip and totally wish my kids went with us- Zip lining- awesome atv trips- great beach- but...... passports dont forget. On a cruise everyoen is always so spread out-

Not Jamaica- cant go off premises- not worth it- food stinks. - Afraican Safari?????
