Hi everyone so im 26 weeks pregnant and Im starting to feel the "wonders" of sleeping on my side...i've been doing this since i was about 20 weeks pregnant and im tired of sleeping on my side. I sleep with two pillows one to support my belly and the other between my legs eveytime i move, my pillows move also. An other thing is im getting bed sore from both sides of legs and i wake up as if I had just run 3 miles. Basically all i want is some advice on sleeping better during the night. I know that this is nothing compared to what im about to face towards the last month of my pregnancy. What did you ladies do to help you sleep better? Did you just "suck it up" and lived with it?? I just want to know because maybe there is a more comfortable way to sleep and i jsut haven't done it yet...please and thank you

What can I do next?

Sorry to say but it only gets worse way worse!! Sleeping with pillow between legs does help. Yes unfortunately you gotta just suck it up! I think this time is getting you used to not sleeping well so you are used to getting little sleep when your sweet little one is born and sleeping during the day instead of at night! Sorry to give the bad news! Good luck!!

I loved the long pillow. Saved my life.

Maybe trying one of those long pillows. I think they are referred to ask "boyfriend pillows"??? At least you don't have to realign two pillows every time you move. If you don't have a "boppy" on your wish list for baby, put it on. OR, go buy one yourself right now. It's a "C" shaped pillow, that can work for supporting belly while you sleep, too. It's definitely a must for a newborn, whether you are nursing or not. I can't think of anything else right now.
*Oh wait!! How about a back rub or foot rub from hubby before bed????? Yep, that'll help!!! :)
Congratulations and good luck!!

Sometimes for a change of pace I slept on the SUPER comfy recliner that we had at the time. It's gone now b/c my preggers butt lived on it for a while after he came out, it was great for nursing! And you may want to talk to your dr about using melatonin, it will help you get the first few hours of Deep Sleep better than just falling asleep and sometimes that makes a huge difference.

Go to Costco and buy three down pillows. Put one on each side of you and one between your legs. This way, you can flip the leg pillow with you when you roll and leave the pillows on either side. Down pillows are SOOOO much more comfortable than regular ones because they form exactly to your body. I bought them on my third pregnancy...wish I had had them with the first two!

the long pillow may work. But i had the same issue. i was use to sleeping on my stomach before pregnancy so when i had to sleep on my side and back it was hell. but what helped me was sleeping on top of several pillows. and if you have to sleep on your back put pillows under you legs. but sleeping on several pillows was so comfortable for me.
