I am thinking about doing a bday party for my sons 1st birthday. It would probably would consist of mostly adults.. Any ideas on how to keep them entertained. I would feel bad if everyone is just standing around. Thanks

What can I do next?

Cookouts are great! When my son turned one, we didn't really know any other kids, so we had a cookout! It was great March weather and everyone loves enjoying a fire-grilled burger while watching a one year old destroy a cake! (Now thats entertainment!) I really like the above idea with adding games for the adults too!

This is want I did for my son's birthday that was mostly adults.
His birthday fell on a Sunday so we had everyone one over and had football on tv. It was short but after a half hour we did the presents and cake. Then called it a day. It was maybe an hour and a half. Some stayed to watch him play with his toys.

For my sons 1st birthday we got a lot of yard games. We had Bocce, horseshoes, crochet, badmitton, just a whole bunch of yard games. The adults were out till dark playing the games. They were a big hit and I didn't feel like I had to go around and entertain people. Everyone just mingled together at their game of choice. It was a lot of fun!
