In 1999 I miscarried twin boys at 4 months along 18 weeks of pregnancy and then in 2000 I again miscarried a girl at 5 months along 21 weeks pf pregnancy. Then in 2001 I gave birth to a girl at 36 weeks of pregnancy and she is now 5 yrs old. After having her I was on depo prevera for one yr. It caused me to have longer heavier periods, sweeling in my feet etc.... After the yr was over my husband and I taked about having more kids. So we began trying and now it has been 4 yrs of trying. I have been to the doc and she told me I have a tyhroid condition the kind were my skin peels , I get cold fast etc..We cannot afford insurance and cannot adopt. I go to a clinic that is based on income and only charges half the bill. That still costs too much and now I have not been to the doctor for any check up. We want a second child so bad it hurts and our 5 yr old wants a sibling so bad. I know we should be happy with what God gave us but we feel we both want more. Any ideas or help? We cannot afford infertility help cost to much. I am only a two yr old teacher and my husband is a crew member at Wendy's here in Orlando.

What can I do next?

M.: As I read your note, I feel your anxious, Lot of time anxiety do not let us get pregant because we are so concern and our body is so sensible to worries. If you have read lot a women that wanted babies but year pass and could get pregnant then suddenly they desided to adopt and few month after they take there tension away they get pregnant. If you have thyroid problem naturelly you going to feel more anxious. I recommend see your gyn if your reproductive system is ok and you fertilized normal and your husband to. Wait that Lord have the time and the day for the next one to come. Prepare your safe normally like thinking in the name you will give if is a boy or a girl. Read book about fertilization. Check with HRS for medical benefit as a low income person. There is a free social services information line 211 and it will give you all kinds of help for people with some difficulty. There is in Lake Underhill a program call Beta is for mothers and they can give you a lot a help and if I not mistaking is a non-profit organization. I hope I have guide you properly and I will pray that the Mighty Lord give you that blessing, Believe me pray do miracle. Pray too he will listen. Love P.

I feel for you so much, and I'm so inspired by your faith in all this. You must be wonderful parents!

I myself have not been through what you have, but various other things have led me to a really miraculous doctor here in the Orlando area. His name is Dr. Racine ( www.DrRacine.com ), and he's one of only two chiropractors in Central Florida who are able to do a specialized technique called Atlas Orthogonality (read about this at www.upcspine.com and www.uppercervical.org ). This technique involves no cracking or popping of any sort, and actually costs less than most other treatments, with better and more lasting results. Dr. Racine offers a 10-visit package that comes out to about $40 per treatment, and many patients get unexpected results even after the first treatment.

Even though the AO technique focuses on the upper cervical area (where the spinal cord "plugs in" to the brain), Dr. Racine's patients have had success with fibromyagia, multiple sclerosis, knee & hip injuries, cancer...and yes, all kinds of "female" problems! He tells stories of women who have come in for debilitating neck and shoulder pain, without any mention of infertility struggles; and after a couple of months of treatment, they've burst into the office shouting, "Doctor, you got me pregnant!!!!" (Just don't say that around my girlfriend, he says!)

The initial exam, xrays, and analysis will cost around $200-$300 (actually very reasonable compared to other docs' xrays and fees), but after that the $40/visit package fee is more typical. Also, if you check out his website right at the beginning of each month, he sometimes has a free exam/consult deal for the first few new patients to respond (look up his "Healthy Living" newsletter to find out.) Dr. Racine's office is on Aloma Ave. in Winter Park. If you happen to be outside of the Orlando area, you can find directories for other doctors on those other two websites. Dr. Racine's mentor, Dr. Pierce, is in St. Petersburg (he's the one who treated the woman who runs www.uppercervical.org --another infertility miracle!), so there is a good concentration of his former students in that area.

As for myself, I went in for headaches after injuring my neck & shoulders after helping with a church festival. Not only did he help all that, but the morning after my first treatment, an artery in my neck unkinked (I nearly fainted from the headrush--who knew my circulation was that bad?), and my vision instantly became drastically sharper. My husband just got started for his back pains, and lo and behold, as of the first night, he was cured of snoring!!! Read up on it at those websites...once you start piecing it together, it really makes sense, and unfortunately most traditional docs and chiros don't know about it. Hope this helps you and scores of others!

God bless!

it sounds like , more than any thing you and your husabnd need to pray that the will of the father be done in your lives. If God would will it, that you guys get pregnant again, than that means He's going to make the provision. He's knows better than we do whats good for us. so just rest in the Lord and wait on Him to do His good and perfect work in your lives

Read all you can about thyroid conditions. The thyroid regulates EVERYTHING in your body, including conceiving a child. Until your thyroid is regulated with replacement hormone, you will not be able to conceive. I know....it took me over a year to get the exact dose so I could conceive. Costco charges $40.00 for 100 thyroid pills and you do not have to be a member to get prescriptions.

Good luck,
S.
