Hey all.... I am getting married in the late summer and am need of a good bakery. (Portland METRO) I have been to several and have it narrowed down, but am afraid I might be missing one that is THE BEST!! I am doing a cupcake cake and need them to be awesome. Problem being is that most bakery's cupcakes only come in 2 flavors , not like wedding cake which offers more flavor selections. I also don't want to pay the $3 a piece they are asking. UGH!!! It's a cupcake for goodness sake :) The design is very simple (just a simple dollop of frosting, the main decor is the custom made tiered stand) so the focus is more on taste for me,. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (WE HAVE BEEN TO HELEN BERNHARDS, BEAVERTON BAKERY, PIECE OF CAKE, and LARSONS)
I did go to JaCivas for a tasting, Excellent service and great cake flavors. Unfortunately we decided on chocolate after all that (aesthetics sake) , and their chocolate was very dry the other flavors were AWESOME. I tried it on 2 separate days just to be safe :( Saint Cupcake wants $2.50 per cupcake so we will probably go with Beaverton Bakery. They have next to perfect cake and not too bad service. They charge $0.99 a piece so much more reasonable... Thanks for the input...

Have you tried St. Cupcake? http://www.saintcupcake.com Tons of flavors and great people as well.
I went all over too and stopped by JaCiva's only because we were passing it on the way home. It was amazing and that is where we ended up getting our cake from. We did cake so I don't know what their cupcake policy is, but they are super easy to work worth. Totally worth checking out.
