I will suggest a few resources that have been a help to me and my son that have struggled with allergies, asthma, and just random things over and over.
Feast Without Yeast, a book by Bruce Semon and Lori Kornblum. It's 4 stages to better health, teaches you how to eliminate foods from your diet. You start with taking some things out, then if the symptoms persist, moving on to the next. It provides lots of recipes that will help you not only do it but to cook it.
What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Allergies by Paul Ehrlich. He is an allergist himself and talks about whether testing is effective and gives you a plan to help your child to get better. You can also read reviews about both books on Amazon.com. I know that you can check this one out from the metro library.
Lastly, I would suggest watching or recording a show called "Your Health" by Dr. Richard Becker. He helps people take care of themselves naturally. You can also call in on certain days and he will help you and send you supplements from Bioinnovations. It is on KSBI 52 if you don't have cable and if you do you can find out which station it is on at familynet.org under shows.
You might also research candida albicans on the internet or in the library. Some of the searches will teach you the symptoms of it when it gets out of control, such as fatigue, arthritis like symptoms, diarrhea, asthma, etc. The treatment is diet, probiotics, and other things like oil of oregano or olive leaf extract, which are natural antibiotics.
Before going on to the allergist I would do some studying up, just my suggestions after doing my own since our doctors seem to shrug their shoulders and go on about their business while we are still suffering.
If you have any other questions pleast let me know.
