I am a former nanny (15+ years expience). I've worked on the East Coast, Texas and here. I've interviewed with most of the agencies here in Seattle and as a nanny then and as parent now the only agency I can recommend in good conscience is Annies Nannies.

As a mom I wouldn't hire a nanny from just anywhere, and I'd run all agencies through the BBB. As a nanny they're the only ones that made me feel like they were as concerned for my safety as they were for the family's safety. That's saying a lot in this industry.

I have gone through Careworks. I really like working with them!

I don't have any experience with nanny's, but I have checked out http://www.sittercity.com and it seems like that's a good site for babysitters, or nanny's. There's a link or two (hundred) all over this website.

Hope this helps,
Melissa

Have you considered hosting an au pair? Cultural Care Au Pair is a government-approved agency that places au pairs from overseas. Au Pairs are carefully screened and provide up to 45 hours of flexible, live-in childcare. The current cost averages out to under $350 per week (that's per family not per child). Hi A.,

You can go to craig's list and post an add. :)

There is also a company called Home Details Incorporated which is a very good organization. I worked for them for a bit. :)

Blessings,
