My Upper Back and Neck Are "Vibrating".

I know none of you are doctors, and I have a doctor's appt scheduled to discuss various issues I'm having. I guess I'll have one more to add:

In the last couple of weeks, I've been feeling a vibrating sensation in my upper back, shoulders and neck. These areas are also sore. What could be causing this? I notice it especially if I'm bent over at my desk, reading something, or bent over at the stove cooking something.

Any thoughts? TIA!

What can I do next?

I bet you a trigger point or impinged nerve. I used to get vibrating sensation in my legs, and I discovered I had hip trigger points. I mentioned it to a doc once and he dismissed it, so be prepared. As long as they rule out anything serious, which seems unlikely anyway, a chiropractor or really talented massage therapist might help you.

perhaps a herniated disc or a muscle spasm impinging a nerve

I've had this, in my neck, in my legs, in one hand at various times. A chiropractic adjustment or two always helped me. Good luck!
