Yes, it will grow back. No, there's nothing you can do to speed it up. It's kind of a style in my middle school.
Will it grow back? Is there anything I can do to make the hair grow back quickly?
Thank you for responding. I was in a state of panic. My mother shaved her eyebrows as a child and they never grew back. I still remember her filling them in with a pencil. My hubby left out the nose hair trimmer. Men can be so absent minded sometimes.

Yes it will grow back.
No there is nothing you can do to make it any faster. But if you have a beard trimmer, you could trim the rest of his eyebrows a little shorter so the contrast is not so apparent.
It will grow back.
Ice Ice Baby.
It will grow back. My brother shaved his eyebrows when he was 10. His school picture looks odd and then you realize his eyebrows are missing. Christmas pics, they are back.
Just had to comment that the ad at the bottom of the bag with the eyebrow transplant for thousands of dollars is hilarious with this question

1) Yes, of course. Women keep tweezing because eyebrows grow back, right?
2) No - how would you make hair grow??
Meantime, figure out how he did that, and get rid of any sharp objects or scissors or razors he shouldn't have access to. That should be your greatest concern, not the eyebrow.
Yes it will grow back; no you can't speed it up.
Your mother probably told you that to scare you so that you wouldn't mess with your own eyebrows as a kid.
Shaving off eyebrows does not damage the follicles, so the hair keeps growing. If your mom waxed or plucked them regularly, that damages follicles and over time fewer hairs grow back. Electrolisis also zaps the follicle. Some medical conditions and treatments can impair regrowth. I have a friend that uses a brow pencil because they never grew back fully after chemotherapy.
Kids do things like this.
It'll grow back - you don't need to do anything.
You might try an eyebrow pencil if you think it'll even his look out until it grows back.
If he suffers any embarrassment, it'll serve as a reminder to not do that again!
Just have to let it grow out, it will, but it will take time.
It wasn't shaving that made your mom's eyebrows not come back, that is excessive shaping. I know three older women who have to paint their eyebrows on because of it.
My grandson shaved both eyebrows off. He was so anxious when he saw what they looked like. Didn't want to go to school. He did go. Nobody teased him and we got used to him looking like that we didn't notice the eyebrows. Stubble appears in a couple of days.I just noticed yesterday that he has eyebrows. I'm sure they grew quickly. Perhaps, 3-4 weeks there was enough that it looked natural.
Yes. It grows back like any other body hair. A lot of kids today make designs in their eyebrows and some of them are very cool.
ha ha! You just reminded me of a hilarious memory....when I was 13 and my brother was 12 he shaved off both his eyebrows. In private he wanted to practice shaving yet had no hair on his face to shave. What made him decide to do this is still a mystery! Then he was horribly embarrassed and tried to just not mention it to see if no one would notice. Of course all his friends did and wanted to know why? The eyebrows grew back just fine. Your son will just have to wait....as embarrassing as it is. I don't think there is any way to get the hair to grow faster.
I have to admit, this made me giggle. Nearly every kid trims or cuts off hair, brows, lashes. Be sure to take a picture. And don't worry, they'll grow back quickly...in about 2-3 weeks.
of course it will grow back.
?
i don't think you can do anything to make hair grow more quickly.
he can pencil it in, or tough it out.
i myself would take plenty of pictures for future blackmail purposes.
this is not a panic situation.

Just sitting down with my morning coffee, and was drawn to this question!
Oh that's cute (sorry - I'm sure you're worried) but that is cute :)
The only time hair doesn't grow back is if it's zapped at the base where the hair grows (inside the hair follicle). So you're ok :)
Sometimes older ladies would have very fine eyebrows from a lifetime of tweezing. My grandmother was like this - had to draw her brows in when she was older. I think a lifetime of yanking can cause damage to the root of the hair follicle.
But trimming or even shaving - you're just cutting off hair off along the shaft (not damaging the base), so no different than hair being trimmed at salon.
I have one with a slight unibrow and he cut his unibrow bit the other day. Funny. I had to explain there are better (and less noticeable) methods :)
it should grow back, it's plucking that can cause problems (look at Whoppie Goldberg)
when my brother was young, he singed his eyebrows, but they grew back... however, your son will have to be patient...
