I never tried a Kindermusik class with my daughters, but we have gone to music together for almost four years. We absolutely love it! The songs are fantastic and multi-cultural. You get a book and a cd and we are always listening to the songs.
Hi Moms,
My son is almost 3 and I want to enroll him in one of these classes. What is the difference? Which did you like better? I know with the Kindermusik I would leave him there and the Music Together is well, together! MT is also much cheaper.

I love Music Together. I've been doing it with my now 3.5 daughter since she was 6 mos. old! We are always listening, singing dancing to music class music. We love our teacher and I feel that she makes the class as wonderful as it is. I don't know Kindermusik.
We do kindermusik and parents are required to attend until the 5-7 age group. I love it and both of my kids do too (ages 20 months and 5). Don't know anything about the other program.
I preferred Music Together. I can't really say why, to tell you the truth, but I liked the vibe more I guess.
do you have Musical Munckins near you? We looked into various classes, and picked that one. It is age-based, so the program grows with the kids. By the 3s class, the parents are in the room or in the hall, but required to be in the building.
We LOVE Music Together and have been going for over 7 years with my boys now 1, 5, and 8!! I really don't know who has more fun, my kids or me!!! I highly recommend the program. I love the songs. We sing them everyday! My one year old even knows many of the words and motions (dances)...Enjoy! You will love it!
They have different philosophies. Music together believes that kids learn best through modeling, and so parent involvement is at the heart of the program. It also believes that everyone is musical, we just don't tap into it, and if you start with kids at 6 months, by 3 (when they complete the program), they will have learned the basics very well.
It's a great program, with a wonderful philosophy. I've been doing it with my children since my daughter was 6 months, and now, at 3, she has near perfect pitch.
