I would try a site called craigslist.com and go under free items-they always have free boxes to move with!!
I was wondering if anybody knows where I can get free boxes to move. I cant afford to pay for brand new boxes. I really need them by this weekend.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

Any grocery store. Just call the day ahead and ask to talk with produce. They will hold banana boxes for you. That is what we did. They also have handles on them. I hope this helps you. Have a great move.
I know that Costco has a lot of large boxes for free. I think they would give you them without a problem, since they have so many. Maybe Gordon Food Service?

we just moved, too, and i went to the local liquor store. they saved me wine and liquor boxes that were perfect. they had handles and everything, but no tops. have a good move!
Go into any store and ask them for their recieving boxes. They shouldn't have a problem giving them to you. I used to work in the shipping and recieving at the Family Christian Store in Canton, and we always had a ton of boxes that would just get thrown away. If a customer asked for them we were more than happy to have them taken off our hands.
You might want to ask a few days before you need them though. You never know when they are going to toss what they have. A day or two notice would make sure they kept them for you.
Good Luck!!
Inquire at any supermarket information or guest desk. Most supermakets will give you empty boxes from their stock, just for asking.
