Hi A.,
The spotting is the blood lining of your uterus being disturbed by the Mirena and falling off. It's not technically period blood unless the spotting is happening when you should be having a period.

my vote would be clean blood, which would be within the realm
of kosher, not period blood which is not kosher, when in doubt, ask your rabbi

It's period blood. You're shedding uterine lining a little bit, not bleeding because it cut you or something like that.

it's "clean" blood- just irritated uterine wall lining, not hormonally driven shedding of the uterine lining. In the end it's all uterine lining so I hope that does not gum up the works. You will have a lot of spotting for the next couple of months. If you are lucky like me, then no periods at all!
all the best!

Which religion? Without a cultural context to go on here, I'm guessing any blood from the vaginal area would be considered period blood. Pardon my ignorance in the matter, but what difference does it make?
