Ok...since I got such good response about my juice plus question I thought I would go ahead and post another one about another product. :) I am very interested in products that do not have toxins in them. I went to an open house and there was a melaleuca lady there and she gave me a sample of lotion that I really ended up liking. I also filled out a doorprize form and ended up winning some laundry detergent and softener. I really like both of them. I NEVER used softener before because it always broke my kids out...but this softener does not. So...so far I am really liking their products. I would like to hear other peoples thoughts on Melaleuca. I am thinking of signing up for the discount...its 30.00 a year and then you get a discount on the products....but you do have to buy so much a month. I want to know if this is worth the money...or if there are products out there that work just as well. Anyway...I would like to hear your thoughts on the company and its products.

Thanks!

J.

Hi J.,
I would say it would depend on what you mean by "products that do not have toxins in them".
Melaleuca does not disclose 100% of their ingredients, there are warnings on the labels, and the lotions and other products do have toxins in them.

If you are looking for a product 100% natural and non-toxic, you should look elsewhere. If you don't mind not knowing whats in the products you use, buy Melaleuca.

Best of luck to you in your search!

P.S. Dawn just doesn't know what toxins really are. Everything I stated is true. Research it for yourself and then decide. You will find there are much more toxins in the Melaleuca line then you would be aware of.

This is a very old question, I know...I have just been browsing around this afternoon and found this. I have to respond to a couple things:

Dani A has been misinformed. The only undisclosed ingredients are those for proprietary reasons - nothing to hide. The only ingredients that could be labeled toxic in Melaleuca products are those that have caused problems in exaggerated testing. There are lots of natural ingredients that would cause a problem in highly unlikely concentrated long term use - like salt - and water. I have shopped at Melaleuca for 20 years; when they find *any* scientific proof of any ingredient causing harm - they pull the product. Money is not an optacle. They threw away 10 million $$ worth of vitamin supplements in 2009 because they learned that *a small percentage of the* minerals were crystalizing in the small intestine - and in that same testing found that 250 major name brand companies had the problem with large percentages. Even though ours were much, much less - the president said it was a matter of integrity. They promise better, safer products.

And we are not mlm - we are not designed for people to sell products. But - it's America and freedom reigns.

Hi J.,
I actually sell it and I love the products. My husband and I transformed our entire household items to Melaleuca. Our cleaning products, hair products, soaps and other things come strictly from Melaleuca. After reading about all the toxins that the store brands has we decided to switch over. We have no regrets for doing this. I wish I had found out about the products earlier. Yes, it is worth the money.

Hi J.,
My mother-in-law sells it and I love it for my family. I buy the lotion, laundry soap, an other things from her. It is honestly worth the money. You also earn points when you sell or buy products, and you can use these points to buy more products for your self or just have as samples to others.
