Please help! My 14 month old is now eating regular food and I am running out of ideas of what to feed her. I need to feed her healthy meals and snacks and she is not wanting to drink milk which is very essential to her health. What can I do to help her drink the milk and eat healthy?

What can I do next?

At her age you can fix her a bowl of cheerios with milk. Most toddlers love it. Also, she can get the same nutrition milk has from cheese, yougarts, etc., so you may try some substitutions. Does she have a sippy cup? I would keep fresh milk in that also, if she has one.

Email me at my website and I'll send you a copy of a meal plan I've put together for the parents of my daycare group. It might be of help or will help you work out some ideas of your own...

You didn't mention if she was a breast baby. Sometimes they have a hard time with milk because it isn't sweet enough for them. You can try adding strawberry or banana to it and make her little smoothies. She may like that a lot better.

Hi M., not sure if you are still checking responses but I made pasta and was able to puree meat and veggies for the sauce and it was always a hit with different pasta shapes etc. Good luck!

Have you tried yogurts? *smoothies included* for the milk.
What do you eat? As long as it is healthy, she/he will get
good nutrition as well. Kroger has a yogurt smoothie that
is good as name brand.
If he/she can handle it, *teeth and chewing*, granola bars.
They are healthy snacks. There are dried fruits as well.
As long as it is smaller bites to what you eat, she can
do pretty good.

My daughter stopped drinking milk around that age too. Shs is almost 2 years and still does not drink milk. We got her to drink chocolate pediasure and when she stopped drinking that we got her to drink chocolate milk.

Here's what I feed mine -
Diced lunch meat, any canned veggie, beets, green beans, corn, baby mexican corn cobs, sweet peas, black-eyed peas, pinto beans. The bagged frozen veggies with the cheese in it are great too. She likes that.
Yogert, cheese, Frozen gogert-
My baby loves ground beef - mini meat loaves, taco meat.
She also likes diced tomatoes, cilantro and white onion - aka pico - can you tell I ate mexican food while pregnant!
Avacado, diced apple, diced chicken - the precooked chicken breast are great - I just set it out to thaw then dice.
I get the dole fruit cups for her too. Hope this helps!

It has been awhile since my son was that young so I don't really have any ideas as far as finger foods. I do remember we loved the Gerber products because they where all really healthy. But as far as the milk is concerned I can totally empathize with you. My son never really took to drinking milk we had a time where we were able to put Ovaltine in his milk and he would drink it but not anymore. I talked to my doctor about and he said give him cheese, yogurt, and other things that have a lot of calcium. We keep a bag of cheese sticks in a fridge and he knows exactly where they are so he gets one when ever he wants. (We go through a 24 bag a week) I know you child is a little young to be getting it on there own but try other dairy products if they don't want milk.

Yogurt-- She can drink the Yo Baby- they have peach or banana flavor yogurt drink. For snacks- my little one love carrots and ranch- I steam the carrots first so they are softer. Sweet potato paste on crackers- as a dip. She also loves canned asparagus- yuck- but it is soft.
