I've lived in Texas for the past 5 years and had friends but I got married young and then found out i was pregnant 8 months later.I had my son and I lost alot of those friends. I'd love to find other mamas friends to talk to in North Texas who are going through or have gone through the same things.

Recently I started going to a moms' group called MOPS (mothers of preschoolers). www.mops.org to find a group in your area.
It's non-denominational but religion will come up. We meet twice each month. The first time is a topic/discussion and the second time is for a craft. Childcare and refreshments are provided. I've met some great moms!
I also belong to some moms' groups (with playdates for the babies/toddlers) through www.meetup.com
