Magazine Subscriptions - Cheaper Way?

Is there a cheaper way to obtain magazines other than going to the website and signing up for the year subscription? I am looking at a magazine and 15 issues is $14.95 on their website - that seems relatively reasonable, but if there is a cheaper way, I would love to know!

I get all my magazine subscriptions free!! I am signed up with the Coke Rewards program and all you do is enter enough points and select which magazine you want! I just renewed my subscription for Parent's magazine through them. Hope this helps!!

I go to magazine.com and if I click on it through ebates.com and place an order I get a certain percentage of the money back. Ebates.com also has a daily double.

SWEAR TO GOD FB is the way to go.

"Friend" all the frugal pages and they have FREE magazines almost DAILY.

Right now I get: ESPN, Martha Stewart, Men's Fitness, some Chevy something, Woman's Day and Women's Health.

I PASS up on offers daily because I don't want to be 'greedy' but there's offers all the time.

My husband LOOOOOVES magazines and that was something we cut back on because I'm a SAHM. Pays off to be on FB and use it for good and NOT EVIL! Ha-ha-ha!

Many of the school groups and kids organizations will be selling magazine subscriptions soon. Girl Scouts sells magazines each fall and I've found a few magazines that are less expensive there. I've also found some great deals on magazines.com.

Also, I don't know what magazine your looking at, but anything less than $1 an issue seems like a good deal to me.

15 issues for $14.95 is awesomely cheap!

Some companies offer to bundle magazines. Our H.S. Band just did a magazine fundraiser, & there were a few bundles offered. My son ordered Road & Track/Car & Driver....12 issues each for $20 total. One of my neighbors ordered Prevention & Woman's Day...12 issues each for $20 also. If you're interested, here's the website: aphearst.com

Generally, signing up for longer periods saves you more money over the long haul.
Instead of signing up for a year, try their 2 or 5 year subscriptions.

Can you find that magazine in the store and get one of their subscription cards? Those are usually pretty cheap too.

I think it totally depends on the magazine. Then if that magazine also publishes similar ones they try to get you to do those as well (offer deals etc for the multi-subscriptions). Like...I had REDBOOK..and was offered a deal for GoodHousekeeping I think..and maybe one other very similar one...Family Circle perhaps? All very similar and I think I paid $5.95 for a year of each. Hubby renewed them all for a few years as my stocking stuffers. Magazines are a fun gift for people for the holidays (I enjoyed them) as they keep coming all year!

I am looking for some my daughter (17 today) might like for her stocking this year. For hubby I get snowmobiling ones (then I buzz thru them for articles related to women riding in the mountains when he is done wiht them!! Win-Win!)!

Check on Amazon, and then do a generic google search for magazine subscriptions. I've found a few websites that offer discount subscriptions - and they work.

Over the years, many of my kids schools have had magazine drives as part of their fund raisers...maybe call around? At least, even if not cheaper...you are helping a school...

Best Luck!
