I'm a SAHM so my daughter doesn't get the socialization I'd like for her. If anyone has information on playgroups in the area I'd really appreciate it. Hannah is getting ready for an Early Intervention Evaluation for her speech/language and I'd like to say I have a place I can take her to play with other kids. Thanks in Advance
So Hannah qualified for Early Intervention, so she'll be getting help and going to playgroups there. I have had several playdates with people from here, and one friendship that seems to be better than I could have hoped.
Check with your Early Intervention people. Although I live in Chicopee, both my children were seen by great workers from Westfield Infant Toddler Services because I worked in their area. WITS has a network of playgroups, including one one they run from our center. Your EI program may have a listing as well.
Check out mommyandme.com, I live is Springfield and found quite a few places that offer playgroups.
Well, not too sure abt playgroups in Chicopee, but my son Jeremiah is 18 moths old. He does go to daycare during the day, but is very friendly and enjoys interacting with other children. Send me a message. It may be best for you to start out with something smaller for your daughter since she isnt around a lot of children and work your way up.
