N.O.
I would add Leinenkugels Oktoberfest to the mix, some sauerkraut, kilbasa and German Potato Salad.
Have some harvest decorations, and a prize for the best or most authentic costume.
Having an Octoberfest this year. Would love your ideas and suggestions to make our party a hit.
We are going to make this a family affair, with beers and brats. What do you think would make this party a fun event for all?
Thanks, in advance!!!

Fly your German Flag and have a blast! I love Oktoberfest.
Yes--potato pancakes and sour cream and apple sauce!
Oh, what a wonderful idea! I'm glad you posted.
potato pancakes, traditional German costumes and dancing. How old are the kids? The real Octoberfest has a huge carnival, so maybe a decorated playground, rent a bounce house, come up with some carnival games.
Oh, and plenty of Beck's and Spaten too
pumpkin painting and decorating.
Get those little tiny pumpkins and put the kids at the table with paint, glitter, googly eyes, etc.
We did this at a fall birthday party and it was a fun (read "safe") spin on pumpkin carving.
Also, I think they make "pumpkin juice" that you can get a CM or World Market or maybe just mke orange koolaid and club soda and call it pumpkin juice for all those who are not partaking in the adult libations :)
What a fun, fun idea for an Octoberfest celebration. Enjoy!
