I really wanted to join this to hopefully meet some other moms with a child around 1 year (give or take a few months). I want my child to make friends also (besides daycare) but I think it'd be great to have someone to talk to etc that has a child around the same age. All of my friends have either brand new babies, or 4 and 5 year olds!
I am looking for a play group for my son who will be 18 months next week. Have you heard of any? I an new to mamasource and I saw that your request was a month old. I would appreciate any advise! Thanks
That would be great to get something going like that not just for my kids' sake but for mine too. I don't know a whole lot of people here, so I would like to meet some people and go from there. My little man is about 16 months. That would be a lot of fun if you want to do something like that.

I don't know if you know about all the playgroup at the community center, there is one almost every day where moms meet the community center provides toys and it is all free, check with the parks and recreation for times. Also I am a Coordinator for MOPS(Mothers of preeschoolers) I don't know if you ever heard of us, you can go to www.mops.org and get information about groups around you city. Let me know if I can be of any help, I don't have a 1 year old anymore, but I have 4 kids from 4 - 16 and would love to help you.
I would love to do the same thing, and not have to pay to be in a group, I have a 24 month old and a 1 month old, if your interested, let me know. I would be happy to meet with you and other moms too. Maybe we can set up a playdate somewhere the kids can play and we can talk like McDonalds or the mall.
