Looking for other mommies to be in the area that are interested in getting together and chatting about anything and everything. Haven't seen any posts since 2008 so not sure if anyone is out there.

Hi!
I belong to two Yahoo mom's groups in the Bothell area. One is called Proud-Bothell-Moms and one is called Bothell_momsgroup. The first one is my own and is not very active. I just send out activities that I find in the area a few times a week. The second group is more active. They have group get-togethers and Mom's Night Outs a few times a month. If you do a search under Yahoo Groups, you should be able to find them. Good luck and maybe I will see you around!

I just received notice from meetup.org yesterday about a new group in the Mill Creek area called Mothers and More of South Snohomish County. Their first meetup is on July 21st for a mom's night out at the Spotted Cow. Go online to sign up.

After you deliver, I recommend that you attend the FREE 0-3 month Snugglers (mommy/baby) group at Evergreen Hospital. You will meet a ton of other mommies, and can branch off to your own playgroup from there...

I am still getting together with my "baby" group from there 5 years later...

I have a few suggestions for you.

Try www.meetup.com or yahoo.com --> groups. There are lots of different moms groups on both sites.

If you're looking to find a place with other moms that are pregnant or with newborns, AND some good education on being a parent, I HIGHLY suggest checking out Woodinville Family Preschool at http://woodinvillefamilypreschool.org/index.htm. It's a co-op "preschool", but more importantly (especially at infancy stage), it's a parent education class. (There are different classes for different age groups, i.e., pregnancy - 6 months old, 6 - 12 months old, 1 - 2 years old, 2 - 3 years old, 3 - 4 [Pre-K].) You and your child are registered in teh class together and you're always with them or available to them. The infant/toddler teacher, Beth, is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and the information that you'll learn in the classes is invaluable. I started there last year and I can't say enough good things about it. I've met so many other parents there as well, so if you're looking for something along those lines, this place is literally your jackpot.

Best of luck to you in whatever you decide to do! :o)
