We gave our daughter a rocking horse for her 1st birthday, it was actually a little too big for her at that point, but she loved it and by the time that she was 1 1/2 - 2 she was climbing on and off by herself...and would ride it for hours and drag it all over the house....reading books to it and giving her dolls rides etc. We also gave her a driving simulator....(hubby has a race car) it was really cute, had an adjustable seat, steering wheel, gas and brake pedals, gear shifter and a little screen with a scroll of a road with curves and obstacles for her to steer around. She loved dressing up like a princess and all things girly too, so sometimes she would be a horseback riding or race car driving princess! Oh.....and the play kitchen,,,,stocked with groceries, the little tikes shopping cart, table and chairs and tea set.......all huge hits then......and almost still at age 7! If you get her a kitchen, you can "stock" it with play food and groceries..but the little boxes of cereal etc don't hold up for 2 days....we have supplemented her groceries from our kitchen.....yogurt cups & lids, the clear honey bear container, frosting tubs, butter tubs etc...they all hold up to the dishwasher except the label on the frosting,..might want to wash that one by hand. At different times of the year...yoplait has seasonal yogurt cups with the mix ins...so you can get Halloween, Christmas and Easter ones if you so choose! Such a fun age!
