Las Palmas in Westmont, is right on Ogden and they just added a new room with a HUGE lunge buffet which is outstanding. Just ate there the other day, yummy!
Hi ladies,
I'm planning my daughter's 2nd b-day and don't know what's in the area as we rarely get out. I'm looking for a great mexican restaurant that can accomodate 20 - 30 people for a lunch celebration. I'd love a place with reasonable prices or a buffet style setup. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Hi Ladies,
Thanks to all of your suggestions... we chose to hold our lunch at Las Palmas. The buffet was great - something for everyone! The service was awesome and the location was perfect! My family & friends raved about it - thanks so much!

Try Cozymels on Butterfield between Naperville Road and Park Blvd. (Danada area) the cheese enchiladas with Poblano cream sauce is outstanding...not too spicy at all.
Hi R.. My husband started taking us to a Mexican restaurant in the Bensenville Area 25 years ago. The food is not just reasonable, it's awesome. I can't remember the name but it is on the south side of Irving Park Road and about half a block west of the Route 83 bridge/viaduct. There is a stoplight heading east on Irving with a sandwich shop (Ginas) then the MEXICAN RESTAURANT, then the bridge. It's well worth the trip so drop in for a bite beforehand. There are 2 dining rooms so you would have your own space. Enjoy.
Try las Palmas....
They have locations in Naperville and Westmont.
Hi R.:
I have a hidden gem for you! In downtown Lisle (yes, there is a downtown!) there is a wonderful Mexican restaurant called Yerbabuena. We had a dinner there following our sons baptism. It is family owned, understated, but decorated very nice and absolutely delicious food. Miguel is a chef who owns the restaurant. It is one of our favorite places for family dining.

Las Plamas in Westmont can accomdate you- prices for food aren't bad, but when you through in alcohol it can get expensive.
Hello-
Try Lalo's on Rt 59 by the mall in Aurora/ Naperville. I do know they have a buffet but I am not sure of the days or time of days they have the buffet open. The Las Palmas restaurants also have a buffet, again, not sure of days and time. Either way both may be worth a call to find out. Good luck on your search and Happy second birthday to your daughter.
Don't know where you are located but we attended a birthday party and have gone here several times. La Hacienda de los Fernandez in Barrington. They have a room in the back, too. It's so pretty. The number: ###-###-#### There is a sister restaurant in Addison,IL. Don't recall it's name but they could tell you and I haven't dined there.
On Lake ST. in Roselle is a restaurant with weekday buffets. (Weekends?) and I don't recall that name either but it is probably listed under Mexican restaurants in directory assistance. Have fun! This is making me hungry.
Some of the responses are really great (I've eaten there and love mexican food) but I thought I would give you one other suggestion. Dave & Busters (in Addision I think) offers a fajita buffet for a private party - only I'm not sure how many people you need for this. The food is GREAT. (We had a small company party there.) I'm also not sure about a 2 year old for the game area, but it's definitely fun for older kids (and REALLY older kids too!!).
