I live on the North-West side of Chicago near Albany Park and I am in need of a Family Doctor/GP ASAP! My 5 yr. old is needing to be updated on his vaccines before his school will let him return. I took him to a clinic that I have just been using and they did not have all the vaccines and did not leave me with a reference of where else to go. We moved up here a little over 2 yrs. ago and luckily noone has been too sick and the walk-in clinic worked out, until now. I really am looking for some good recommendations. Quickly! I just switched to Dr. Zumhagen at the Homefirst practice in the same building at Cicero and Peterson for the whole family. They are more holistic minded and specialize in home births as well, in case you are looking into a more natural approach. www.homefirst.com

I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about Dr. Ghaey. She is AMAZING (I also like the other doctors in her office but much prefer her). The only reason we left the practice was because we moved too far away. I would give anything to still be able to see her!

I lived in Albany Park for a couple years and went through the family practice clinic at Ressurrection Hospital on Harlem & Talcott. Its a little further then just going to Swedish covenant but I hated them!Ressurrestion was great. My daughter and I both saw Dr. Ladewski. I went through my whole pregnancy and had a great experience delivering there. Very nice, friendly atmosphere and they really listen to what you are saying. They were also great about being on time with appointments and always fit me in the day of when needed for sick visits. I only switched because I moved.
I use Northside Suburban Pediatrics, located at Cicero and Peterson. It's a pediatric practice of four women doctors. We see Dr. Karaman who I like a lot and have positive experiences with the other docs. They're a busy practice but I think if you're flexible about when you can come in, they should be able to get you in this week. Their number is 773-777-KIDS. Good luck!
