My husband and I have recentely moved to Allen and I am looking for a portuguese speaking child to play with my two year old son, who has now decided to only want to speak english.

My husband is Portuguese and my 3 year old son is learning the language now. You may want to check www.meetup.com for Brazillian/Portuguese communities in the area. We found a playgroup in our area and two of the Moms were Brazillian. It's worth a try. Good Luck...Bon Dia!
My next door neighbor is from Brazil, and she and her husband (American) and 3 1/2 year old daughter all are bilingual. However we live in South Arlington, near Kennedale. I don't know where Allen is, but if you are interested I will give her your information and maybe you two can talk.
Even if your son is only speaking English right now if you and/or your husband keep speaking Portuguese he will still be learning it and will start speaking it again when he gets rid of the stubborn hair. There is a couple at church, one speaks only Spanish to their son, the other only English and he is consequently fluent in both. Meetup is a good suggestion.
